The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is an autonomous government body established under the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1). Its primary mandate is to oversee the recruitment of employees into the Public Service. Our vision is to become a leading center of excellence in public service within the region.
Our mission is to conduct the recruitment of public servants using modern approaches, ensuring equity, transparency, and meritocracy. We also provide advisory services to employers on employment-related matters. Human resources play a crucial role in public service delivery, underscoring PSRS's responsibility to recruit public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner, while upholding quality standards and ensuring access for all applicants to promote equitable service delivery in Tanzania. Our objective is to enhance the efficiency of government public services by strictly adhering to our established rules and regulations and fostering positive relations with our stakeholders.
